PTR 07: 2 Days Trek Akha Mouchee

Visit tribal  villages of Akha Mouchee, Akha Cherpia, Akha Erpa

Itinerary

Day one: Bountai – Tribal villages – Ban Terkar – B. Cherya(_/L/D)

Meet our guide at Saenphaxay Guesthouse in Bountai. And then we take a private car from Bountai to Ban Eperjing. On the way we will drive and stop to visit tribal villages of Akha Poulee, Akha Cherpia and Akha Erpa.  We arrive at Eperching village (Akha Mouchee). Then have a picnic lunch on the way; from here, after lunch we will trek through primary forests and wet rice fields, then we reach Ban Cherya village “Mouchee tribe” ( This village is famous for Green tea and whisky), if you are good in drinking Lao whisky, we recommend you try to sip with the villagers. You have opportunities to explore ethnic people and their culture. Overnight with family at Cherya village. Trekking: 3  hours. Trekking level : moderate

Day two: Cherya village – trekking – Ban Achernampok and Ban mouchee Nampok .

After breakfast, take photo with family for your memories. Say goodbye to the hostfamily. Before we leave village, enjoy your time to explore village before start trekking. On the trail, we trek downhill, you will experience wonderful landscapes of mountainous area. Trekking will reach Ban ArCho Nampok and Ban Mouchee Nampok, where we meet our driver and drive back to Bountai.

Approximately:  4,5 hours trekking.

  • Trek starts: at 8:00 am from Saenphaxay Guesthouse in Bountai.
  • Trek ends: at 5:00 pm in Bountai.

  • Toilet paper
  • Raincoat (in rainy season)
  • Long phants
  • Pocket money etc.

Important Do’s & Don’ts:

  • Do not give individual gifts or money to children.
  • Ask before taking photos of people or spiritual items.
  • Help keep the trails clean by not littering.
  • Purchasing handicrafts is highly appreciated, but do not purchase antiques.
  • Always stay with the guides
  • Do not use drugs.
