PTR02: 1 Day Nam Lan Jungle Trek

Itinerary: Bountai – Ban Naten – Nam Lan jungle trek – Ban Sapa ( Akha village) – back to Bountai (_/L/_)

Meet your local guide at Senphaxay Guesthouse in Bountai.

A private car will take you to Naten village; it is located very close to Nam Lan Conservation Area. Nam Lan Area is the largest and deepest forest. There are utouched jungles and any kind of wild animal living in the area. Well preserved by local people living nearby. We arrive at Ban Naten, we meet our local guide who lives at this village, he will take us to trek through the deep forest of Nam Lan. We have a wonderful time in the deep jungle. Enjoy listening to many kinds of birds singing and learn to know how the wild animals live in the forest. Trek to Animal’s Poung (a salty place where many kinds of animals come and drink water). Then, enjoy our picnic lunch. After finishing a delicious lunch, continuing our trek to other parts of the Nam Lan Area.

We finally trek to the road where we will meet our driver, then drive to visit an Akha village near the forests. Late afternoon, we drive back to Bountai.

  • Trek starts: at 8:00 am from Senphaxay Guesthouse in Bountai.
  • Trek ends: at 5:00 pm in Bountai.

  • Ask before taking photos of people or spiritual items.
  • Help keep the trails clean by not littering.
  • Purchasing handicrafts is highly appreciated, but do not purchase antiques.
  • Always stay with the guides
